Resting in Gods Presence
As Christmas draws near (13 days away! When did that happen?!) I find myself getting busier each day. All the hustle and bustle of buying Christmas gifts for the family, attending Christmas parties, dinners, grocery shopping, decorating, dealing with crowded parking lots, slippery wet roads and piercing wind chills. I am easily distracted from what matters most this holiday, spending time with God and celebrating the true reason for the season!
Make spending time in the word and in prayer a priority this season. When we take time out of our busy days to be present with God he fills us with his peace. As we spend more of our time with him we quickly realize that all of our tasks become less important in comparison.
As we make our busy checklists these next few weeks be sure to take time and do as Psalm 46:10 reminds us to do and “be still” this season.
He says, ” Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth” Psalm 46:10
